In rural Indiana, and everywhere else, the question might have been "What do you want to be?" But the reality was "What are people like us allowed to become?"

Free Agent Fresk™ is a participatory card-mapping workshop that makes invisible forces of identity visible. Using cause-and-effect mapping, you and your group trace the social osmosis that built your identity algorithm - the beliefs absorbed as truth, the roles mistaken for self, the ceilings installed before your were old enough to question them. 

• 1.5 hours, active learning with a card-based system.
• Participants create a visual "mural" (fresco) showing links between biography, social structure, and history.
